The AZSPHDMI from Azco provides surge and ESD protection up to 17KV at 40A to IEC 61000-4-2 standard. An increase in Voltage or a surge can affect the product performance as well as shorten or damage the HDMI equipment’s lifespan. In extreme cases, it can also carry the risk of fire. In addition to this, all electronics are susceptible to electrostatic discharge (ESD) which while not always visible, also wears away at the internal workings of devices.
